Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry telephoned his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov to offer condolences over the Russian plane crash.

During the phone call, the Egyptian minister affirmed the authorities' commitment to uncover the circumstances of the incident in full cooperation with the Russian side, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zaid said.

Lavrov lauded efforts exerted by Egypt to deal with the incident.

He said Russian is looking forward for continued cooperation and coordination with Egypt during the coming period.
