Egypt's Grand Mufti Shawki Allam has denounced the " Disgraceful" terrorist attack, which targeted a gathering of religious scholars in Afghanistan's Capital Kabul, killing at least people 55 people celbebrating Prophet Mohammad anniversary on Tuesday.
The Mufti said the terrorist attack shows these organizations' hate toward scholars and reveal their attempts to shut down " the voice of righteousness" that stand against their false ideas.
" The targeting of innocent people joyfully celebrating the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad is the clearest evidence of their aversion from the teachings of the prophet, which stress the sanctity of blood and value love and tolerance among people.
Afghan authorities were struggling on Wednesday to identify the group behind a suicide bomb attack that killed at least 55 people attending a gathering of religious scholars in Kabul after the Taliban denied any responsibility.
The victims included religious delegates from various parts of the country, invited by the Afghan Ulema Council to celebrate the religious gathering.
