German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has condemned the series of attacks in the Saudi cities of Jeddah, Qatif and Madinah.

In a press release issued by the Germany embassy in Cairo Tuesday, the German foreign minister said that terrorists are doing everything to spread their evil acts, expressing sympathy with those who lost their loved ones.

Saudi press reports had indicated that a suicide bomber and four security personnel were killed in a blast near a security office of the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina while a simultaneous attack on a mosque in the mainly Shiite eastern city of Qatif killed at least one suicide bomber.

The twin assaults followed another attack of Monday near the US consulate in Jeddah, when a suicide bomber detonated his vest by a mosque near the consulate, injuring two security guards.
