OIC denies Israel's legal sovereignty on Al Quds

The closing statement of the committee of permanent delegates to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation released on Monday denounced all punitive measures enforced by Israel since July 14, particularly as regards closing the Al Aqsa Mosque and preventing prayers and Azan (call to prayer).
The statement, a copy of which was received by MENA, rejected all measures imposed by Israel on Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) and the holy mosque as part of colonialist schemes and attempts to change the historical status of the city and Al Aqsa.
Israel has no legal sovereignty over Al Quds and the Islamic and Christian sanctities as stipulated by all international documents and resolutions.
The statement called on Israel to revise all illegal measures imposed on Al Quds and warned against the consequences of provoking the sentiments of Muslims around the world through the dangerous escalation of its policies and illegal steps.
