The Coptic Orthodox Church mourned on Wednesday the death of Sherif Adel Habib, the Egyptian young man who was found burned to death in London recently.

In a statement, the church said Pope Tawadros II telephoned the family of the slain citizen to offer them his condolences.

The British Embassy in Cairo said on Wednesday it is "closely following" the case related to the death of the 21-year-old Egyptian Habib.
