Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven called the terrorist attack that hit Istanbul nightclub as "awful" on his Twitter account.

The assault left 39 persons dead and 70 others injured, according to ABC News on Sunday.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
