Cairo - MENA
The media center for the Egyptian cabinet denied reports on Tuesday that claimed that the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine causes autism in children, according to a statement.
The center asserted that it has contacted the Ministry of Health and Population, which has categorically denied the reports and asserted that children vaccines in Egypt comply with international standards.
The ministry also noted that all vaccines in Egypt are approved by the World Health Organization and are stored and handled in line with international regulations to ensure their safety.
The ministry called on media outlets, especially social media, to be accurate in their reporting in order to avoid spreading false news.
