Palestinian prisoner and hunger striker Samer Issawi Ramallah - Mona Kandil Human Rights organisations have rebuked a proposal submitted by the Israeli government to allow authorities to force feed Palestinian prisoners who are currently on hunger strike. Israel\'s justice ministry is formulating a draft bill that will make it possible to force-feed hunger-striking prisoners, subject to court approval. Organisations have stressed that the proposal \"violates the rights and dignity of Palestinian citizens.\" Director of Ahrar Centre for Prisoners Studies and Human Rights in Palestine, Fuad Al-Khuffash, condemned the proposed bill, adding that \"the international community is silence against Israel\'s crimes.\" Israel Medical Association has also voiced its strong opposition; chairman Dr Leon Eidelman said that such a law would “violate the rules of international ethics.” Human Rights groups have said the proposal aims to \"deprive Palestinian prisoners from their simple rights\" raising the need to \"respect the will of inmates.\"
