Participating in the Global Parliamentary Summit against Hunger and Malnutrition held in Madrid, a delegation of Syrian MPs called for uniting efforts of the parliamentarians all over the world to lift the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people which have reflected negatively on their life.
Head of the delegation MP Adnan Suleiman referred to the huge damages inflicted upon all the productive sectors in Syria due to the unjust sanctions, particularly on the agricultural sector which constitutes a main source of food.
Suleiman said that the Syrian government exerts all possible efforts to alleviate the repercussions of these measures which are imposed by some Western states which support terrorism.
Parliamentary delegations from different states are participating in the Global Summit which is organized by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on Oct. 29-30.
