Tomas Dub seeks to develop relation with Sudan Khartoum - Abedalgoum Ashmeag Czech Republic's Deputy Foreign Minister, Tomas Dub, led a delegation comprising of several officials and businessmen to the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Tuesday. Delegates from both sides met at the Arbab company headquarters to discuss investment opportunities. Speaking at a joint press conference, Sudan's Minister of Minerals, Kamal Abdellatif, welcomed the Czech delegation and explained that that exploratory visit had allowed the visitors to develop an understanding of Sudan's geological and mineral capabilities. Abdellatif added that the Sudanese and Czech officials had discussed potential investment in the mining sector, and expressed his hope that the relations between the two countries would witness significant development in the near future. The Sudanese minister claimed that the Czech delegation had expressed its desire to increase investments in Sudan, reiterating the nation's support for the Sudanese economy. Speaking to reporters, Dub said that the Czech Republic has a proud tradition and history of mining. He also praised Sudan's mining infrastructure, adding that he is keen to strengthen the relations between the two nations. The Czech official expressed his country's willingness to provide assistance to Sudan, and confirmed that further talks to increase cooperation and develop relations between the Czech Republic and Sudan would take place in the next few months.
