German giants Bayern Munich breathed a sigh of relief Sunday after an injury sustained by French international Franck Ribery in pre-season training turned out to be not as serious as feared. Ribery, who has been beset with injuries since joining the Bundesliga club in 2007, had to be taken off the field in a golf cart with his left ankle heavily bandaged on Sunday and visibly in pain. \"I slipped in a challenge and my foot cracked,\" the 28-year-old winger said. \"At first I was really scared. I thought I had torn my ligaments.\" But medics determined that the injury was not severe. Ribery would be out of action for a week and could be back for a German Cup match against Eintracht Braunschweig on August 1, Bayern Munich said. Ribery will miss however the pre-season Audi Cup in Munich involving Champions League winners Barcelona, AC Milan and Brazil\'s Porto Alegre on Tuesday and Wednesday.
