Serie A strugglers Cesena have strengthened their midfield with the signing of Belgian player Gaby Mudingayi. The 33-year-old has joined the Emilia-Romagna club on a free transfer until the end of the season.
A statement from the club read: "Cesena announce they have acquired the sporting rights of Belgian midfielder Gaby Mudingayi until June 30, 2015. The player is already working under coach Domenico Di Carlo."
Mudingayi returns to Italy's top flight just six months after leaving Inter Milan. The Kinshasa-born player has been looking for a new club since his proposed move to Spanish side Elche collapsed earlier this month due to the club's financial troubles.
The former Lazio player could make his Cesena debut in Sunday's league game against Serie A leaders Juventus. Cesena are fighting to avoid the drop and are 19th in the standings, six points adrift of safety.
