German league champions Borussia Dortmund knocked giant-killers Dynamo Dresden out of the German Cup in the second round on Tuesday as stars Robert Lewandowski and Mario Goezte sealed a 2-0 win. Second-division Dresden pulled off the upset of July\'s first round when they came from 3-0 down at home to Bayer Leverkusen to seal a dramatic 4-3 win. But their luck ran out in Dortmund as Jurgen Klopp\'s team took the lead after 30 minutes when Germany midfielder Goetze floated in a cross which Lewandowski met at the far post. It was Lewandowski\'s 11th goal in 15 games in all competitions this season and his third in two games after he scored twice in the 5-0 hammering of Cologne last weekend in the German league. Goetze then turned goal-scorer when he latched onto a neat pass from Germany squad member Sven Bender on 65 minutes to put the result beyond doubt with a well-taken goal. With holders Schalke 04 playing second-division Karlsruhe and German league leaders Bayerm Munich hosting second-tier bottom side Ingolstadt 04 both on Wednesday, most of the Bundesliga sides also eased into the third round. Hoffenheim won the all-Bundesliga clash when they saw off Cologne 2-1, while Augsburg enjoyed a 1-0 win over fourth-division RasenBallsport Leipzig. Borussia Moechengladbach needed a penalty shoot-out to beat third-divison Heidenheim 4-3 after it finished in a goalless draw after extra time. Bundesliga strugglers Hamburg needed extra time to see off fourth-division Eintracht Trier, who took an early lead before Sweden striker Marcus Berg levelled for the club from the Hanseatic city. The winning goal came when Hamburg\'s Germany defender Dennis Aogo curled his direct free-kick over the Trier wall in the 110th minute to put his side into the third round on December 20 and 21.
