Capital Club Bahrain, the Kingdom's Premier Private City Club, have announced their participation in the international triathlon "Challenge Bahrain" due to take place in December.
Club Members have formed a team that includes Tony Tesar from the UK who will take part in the 1.9 km swim, Zaid Zubi from the USA, who will be a part of the 90 km bike course, and Mark Haikal from Lebanon, joining the 21.1 km run.
"Capital Club is proud to support such a global competition. The importance of this event is clear as it positions the Kingdom as a venue for international events and we would like to thank the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his efforts in bringing this initiative to the community", said Capital Club Bahrain's General Manager, Dina Haikel.
"We are also delighted that a team, representing Members and staff of Capital Club, will be taking part in such a prestigious event along with amateur and professional athletes from Bahrain, the region and across the globe," she added.
The international Triathlon Championship will take place on Saturday the 6th of December with set off at 7:30am. The much-anticipated Challenge Bahrain will be broadcast live online with commentary by world champion Chris McCormak and Oliver Wilson and directed by the multiple Emmy Award-winning Peter Henning.
