International forward Abdallah El-Saied took issue with Ismaily’s board for their lack of attention to the team and players contrary to rivals Ahly, who have dominated the local scene over the past seven years. “If you ask me or player, they would love to play for Ahly. It’s a club that provides you with financial and technical stability to help you give all you have to achieve glory for the team,” El-Saied was quoted as saying in an interview published in the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram on Friday. The gifted 26-year old, who scored eight goals for the Dervishes this season, has been at the centre of controversy since waging a war of words against some board members a few weeks ago, claiming that he wants a move out of the club. “We haven’t been paid for four months and in addition they penalize us if we lose or deliver a bad performance, how can that be! They should give us our instalments instead of making cuts,” he added. Zamalek have already made an official request to sign the Ismaily number 10 but the offer was turned down. “I knew nothing about the offer and I don’t know if Ahly is interested or not but if I could I would choose Ahly. Right now I still have a year left in my contract and in the course of it I will decide about my next destination,” El-Saied concluded.ahramonline.
