Alexandria-based club Ittihad on Wednesday humiliatingly defeated Cairo giants Al-Ahly 4-1 at home in the Egyptian Premier League.
Ittihad scored two goals before going to the locker room, thanks to goals from Ethiopia striker Oumed Oukri and Mohamed Hamdi.
After interval, Substitute Felix Katongo of Zambia and defender Rami Adel scored two goals.
Ahly striker Salah el-Din Saeed of Ethiopia managed to score a face-saving goal during extra time.
The defeat leaves Ahly in fifth place with 21 points, 10 behind leaders Zamalek who played two games more.
Ittihad, who are gradually improving under Hossam Hassan, moved to the 11th spot on 18 points.
