Kuwait Soccer Club dropped out of competitions of the Asian Football Confederation's Cup due to a dramatic loss, 1-6, in the quarter finals' match against Indonesia's Persipura Jayapura.
The Argentinian striker, Robertino Pugliara, scored a hat-trick, three goals, in the game's second, 45th and 66th minutes, held at Mandala Stadium in the Indonesian city of Jayapura.
Boaz Salossa scored in the 43rd minute, Tattos Bunai, 52nd and Fernando Bahubali in the second minute of injury time.
The sole Kuwaiti goal was scored with a header by the Iranian, Reza Goochannejhad, in the 65th minute of the match. The referee gave a red ticket to the Kuwaiti player, Fahad Humoud, in the 69th minute, thus the team had to carry on the game with 10 players.
On Tuesday, the Kuwait Club soccer team beat Persipura Jayapura 3-2 in the quarter-finals in a match held in Kuwait.
Perispura Jayapura had qualified for the pre-finals, due on September 16 and 30, to play against the winner of the scheduled match between the Kuwaiti Al-Qadsiyah and its host, Al-Had of Bahrain.
Kuwait Club had won this competition in 2009, 2012 and 2013.
