Egypt’s giant Zamalek reached the African Confederation Cup group stage after a 3-1 home win over DR Congo's Sanga Balende on Sunday.
Zamalek joined Cairo rivals Ahly in the group stage of the Confederation Cup.
The White Knights advanced with a 3-2 aggregate win, having slumped to a 1-0 first-leg defeat in a controversial match.
Earlier in the day, Al-Ahly went through after beating Tunisia's Club Africain 5-4 on penalties following a 3-3 aggregate draw.
