Sporting Gijon will be without injured central defender Gregory for the Copa del Rey tie away to Real Mallorca tomorrow. Gregory missed training today with a bicep injury which will keep him out of the fourth round, first leg tie. There was better news over forward Nacho Novo (muscle injury) and midfielder Miguel De Las Cuevas (ankle) as both took part in training with the rest of the squad. Sporting will be keen for Novo to be fit after he scored twice in the 3-1 win at Rayo Vallecano in La Liga yesterday. The visitors recovered from heavy defeats in the past two weeks with Diego Barral opening the scoring against Vallecano before Novo struck twice, the first coming after a fine through ball by De Las Cuevas.
