Cairo - Arab Today
Planning Minister Ashraf el Araby said he conveyed the government's point of view on the civil service law during a meeting of the parliament's manpower committee on Thursday.
The committee had rejected the law saying some of its articles violate the rights of civil servants.
Speaking to MENA, Araby said the committee is currently holding a closed meeting to prepare a final report on the law and submit it to the parliament's general committee and subsequently to lawmakers for voting.
The minister said he made it clear to the committee that the law was not complicated and it was meant to be an alternative to Law 47 on civil servants.
The ministry had put the law's executive regulation for societal dialogue for three months and the government had responded to all viewpoints on the law, he added.
