Cristiano Ronaldo limping out of training

Cristiano Ronaldo is a doubt for Saturday's Champions League final after limping out of training this morning.

The Real Madrid superstar has now failed to complete his last three training sessions, and left the field after being pushed by Dani Carvajal, the Mirror reported.

He also failed to complete his last fixture, Madrid's final league game against Deportivo La Coruna.

Ronaldo has been struggling with injury since limping off against Villarreal last month.

He tried to stretch out his left thigh after the clash with Carvajal and goalkeeper Kiko Casilla but, after discussion with physios and medical staff, left the session early.

Earlier, Zinedine Zidane has hailed Diego Simeone as the complete manager ahead of their meeting in Saturday’s Champions League final.

The Frenchman heads to Milan having lost his only encounter against Simeone since taking over as Real Madrid boss, although his side leapfrogged Atleti in the penultimate week of the Liga season to finish ahead of them in second place.

And despite favouring a different style of football, Zidane was very forthcoming in acknowledging the qualities of his rival.

And Zidane, who has turned around Madrid’s season from crisis in January to recovering their title challenge and given them a chance of European glory, thinks that he has a lot to learn until he is at that level.
