Forty-seven suspects were arrested on Thursday in a wide-scale security campaign in North Sinai, security sources said.

The campaign targeted terrorist hideouts in Southern Arish, Sheikh Zuwaid and Rafah cities, the sources added.

The sources said that 13 huts and seven motorcycles without plates used by the terrorists to launch attacks were destroyed in the crackdown.

Also, three explosive devices were safely detonated with no casualties.
