Six Takfiris were killed and 29 suspects were arrested in a security campaign launched by the Egyptian army on terrorist hideouts in North Sinai, an army statement said on Sunday.

The forces also destroyed two tunnels in Rafah area, a pickup, and three motorcycles. They also discovered and destroyed a bomb that was set to target military forces.

The Armed Forces asserted that they will continue their strict measures to secure Sinai, hunt down takfiri elements and uproot terrorism.
