An earthquake measuring 3 on the Richter scale was registered in southern Italy at dawn Monday by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, but no damages were reported.
The earthquake occurred off the east northern coast of the Aeolian Island region.
A second quake hit the same region, measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale.
