4.8 Magnitude Earthquake Hits South Jordan

 An Earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale hit Jordan's city of Aqaba. No damages or causalities were reported.

    Chief of Jordan Seismological Observatory Director Mahmoud Qariouti said habitants of Aqaba felt the earthquake which occurred at a depth of 30 kilometers.

    South Jordan is seismically active regions, as a magnitude 4 earthquake was registered in Arabah valley last February, and another Magnitude 5.4 hit Aqaba July 2016.
