An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted the coast of 71 km southwest of Iquique, Chile at 0011 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The epicenter, with a depth of only 7.33 km, was initially determined to be at 20.6585 degrees south latitude and 70.65 degrees west longtitude. So far, there have been no reports of casualties.
