A 6.0-magnitude earthquake shook Peru Thursday, U.S. seismologists said. The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake struck at 11:03 a.m. local time and was centered about 73 miles northwest of Arequipa. It had a depth of about 62 miles deep. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
