An earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale jolted Federated States of Micronesia region at 08:22:03 Beijing Time (00:22:03 GMT) on Sun, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 0.851 degrees north latitude and 146.229 degrees east longitude.
