The state auditor said Friday it has launched an inspection into major government agencies in the southern port city of Yeosu over a recent oil spill. In January, a speeding Singapore-registered tanker collided into pipelines operated by GS Caltex Co., the country's second-largest refiner, causing up to 754 kiloliters of oil to spill into waters off the coast of Yeosu, 455 kilometers south of Seoul.
