The New Valley civil defense forces on Saturday contained a fire that broke out on a 1.5-feddab palm farm.

The fire damaged 150 palm trees, but no casualties were reported.

Two persons were burning some agricultural waste when fire spread to neighboring areas caused by the wind.

The prosecution was notified to launch a probe.
