Agriculture Minister Hussein Hajj Hassan Wednesday said peoples have the right to make their own scientific decisions in favor of progress. During his meeting with an Iranian delegation headed by Iran\'s President\'s advisor, Amiri Nia, Hajj Hassan engaged in talks on means to develop bilateral ties mainly agricultural ones. Speaking of his latest visit to Iran, Hajj Hassan said he was honored to tour Iran\'s scientific institutions where he was informed of the progress the country has achieved in the agricultural, pharmaceutical, nanotechnology, and scientific research fields. The Iranian President\'s advisor, in turn, voiced gratitude for the Lebanese-Iranian ties\' level and heaped praise herein on the cooperation with the Lebanese government and agriculture Ministry. \"Our visit to Lebanon was an excellent opportunity to tackle with the Minister scientific cooperation horizons of the mini-tubers technology adopted across the world,\" Nia said. \"This technology allows the production of seeds in accordance with international standards,\" he concluded.
