Cadillac’s Escala concept car

Cadillac’s Escala concept car will make its first appearance in the Middle East at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show, allowing visitors to admire the design innovations that are driving the next phase of the brand’s ongoing expansion. The Escala concept amplifies the new design DNA of the New York car brand that was introduced with the new CT6 and XT5 models, which will be on display on the stand.
Cadillac has also announced that the new 2018 XTS Platinum will enjoy its regional debut at the region’s largest automotive show (Nov. 14-18). Designed to be both a driver’s car and an indulgent flagship sedan, Cadillac’s Escala concept showcases future design and technical systems in development and is a concept for a more expressive, expansive companion to the recently launched CT6.

• The McLaren P1 was conceived with one simple but extremely demanding aim: To be the best driver’s car in the world on road and track. As the spiritual successor to the McLaren F1 road car of the 1990s — still widely considered one of the greatest supercars of all time — the McLaren P1 had to redefine not only what McLaren was capable of, but also raise the bar for the supercar world.
Five years ago, the car built to achieve this ambition was unveiled as a design study at the 2012 “Mondial de l’Automobile” in Paris. Five months later, the production version debuted at the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show. Leveraging five decades of McLaren motorsport experience and its deep knowledge of road car engineering, the McLaren P1 represented both the birth of the McLaren Ultimate Series and a quantum leap in technology that delivered previously unknown levels of performance in a road car.

• The Range Rover Velar has achieved a five-star Euro NCAP rating, confirming one of the world’s most desirable luxury SUVs as among the safest too. The fourth member of the Range Rover family scored 93 percent for adult occupant protection, 85 percent for child occupant protection and 74 percent for pedestrian protection. Velar features a comprehensive suite of safety systems, including autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection.
The advanced technology can detect a collision risk with cars or pedestrians in the road ahead and automatically apply the brakes. The system was awarded a maximum six marks in the pedestrian detection tests by Euro NCAP’s testers. Nick Rogers, executive director, product engineering, Jaguar Land Rover, said: “The light, stiff and exceptionally strong aluminum-intensive body provides the foundation for a five-star Euro NCAP score. Allied to pioneering suspension technology and a comprehensive range of driver assistance systems, the new Range Rover Velar is one of the safest vehicles in the world.”

Following the world premiere of the RS 3 Sedan at the Paris Motor Show, the RS 3 Sportback made its entry at the Geneva International Motor Show.
With the most powerful production five-cylinder in the world, outstanding dynamism and an even sharper look, the car offers an emotional driving experience. The Audi RS 3 Sedan and new RS 3 Sportback are now available in the Middle East markets including Bahrain, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, UAE, Lebanon and Jordan.
