Pennsylvania - SANA
The Syrian community in Pennsylvania, the United States organized the annual Syrian heritage festival in an assertion of national links between the community members and the motherland.
Speaking to SANA, assistant coordinator of the festival Marwan Sabbagh said the festival’s activities, which kicked off last Thursday, were wrapped up Monday at dawn Damascus local time, with the last day dedicated for celebrating the victory of Syria and President Bashar al-Assad.
The festival is meant, according to Sabbaggh, to be a venue for illuminating the Syrian community in the US about the Syrian heritage and values.
The festival featured artistic and cultural activities aimed for reviving the Syrian heritage and establishing links between the Syrian expats and motherland Syria.
