Egypt won an award in Al Nahj Film Festival in Karbala in which 50 films from 14 countries were competing in the festival.
The festival was attended by Karbala governor and a number of Iraqi and Arab artists, media figures and reporters.
The festival's jury, led by Iraqi Hikmat el Bydani, announced that the Iranian film "Salt Man" directed by Sjad Mowsawi won the first place in the competition, Egyptian film "Om Amira" directed by Bagi Ismail won the second place and Iraqi film "Hawks in the sky of Kenana" won the third place.
Saudi film "Kari" directed by Mohamed Salman won the jury award.
It is worth mentioning that Egyptian critic el Amir Abaza was a member of the competition's jury.
The festival honored in this round the well-known Egyptian director Omar Abdel Aziz, producer Ibrahim Abu Zekri and Iraqi artist Mahmoud Abu Abbas.
