The Fourth Gulf Festival for Social Work concluded here on Sunday -- where products made by productive families were showcased in the festival in addition to crafts and seminars.
Kuwait was represented by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and a number of productive families.
Two Kuwaiti figures who are pioneer in the volunteer work were honored during the five-day event including director of the Quranic center in Kuwait's Islamic Welfare Association Feda'a Al-Waqayan and board member of Kuwait society for disabled persons care Ali Saleh Saleh Al-Abdullah.
The event, dubbed "Social Security .. Protection and Development" witnessed a review of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor's working paper on Kuwait's efforts in the field of social security.
For her part, Director of community development department in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Sheikha Al-Adwani told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the community development department of the ministry is actively participating in this social gathering which is showcasing products made by the productive families.
She noted that the Kuwaiti pavilion in the festival received a high turnout of visitors, where large quantities of the displayed items have been sold in the first days of the festival.
