Kuwait's 3rd International Monodrama Festival kicked off under the theme "Saad Al-Faraj Session" in honor of the Kuwaiti actor for his contributions to the theatrical movement in the country over the last 58 years.
Assistant Secretary General of National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) for Culture Sector Mohammad Al As'ousi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the sidelines of the opening ceremony that the success of the last two editions enabled the annual festival to attain a preeminent position on the Arab cultural area.
"The event gives momentum to the theatrical movement on the local and regional levels as it provides a platform for celebrated playwrights and artists to showcase their most successful and most popular works," he said.
