Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has called on all members of the UAE community to launch a nationwide campaign to celebrate the UAE Flag Day on the 3rd of November, which coincides with the anniversary of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's assumption of office as the leader of the country.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid invited all federal and local government entities to raise the UAE Flag at the same time next Tuesday, the 3rd of November, at 12 noon to reaffirm allegiance to the UAE flag, which is a symbol of the country's unity and greatness and represents our aspirations for a better future for the people of the UAE.
His Highness said, "The UAE Flag Day is a national occasion where we remember the efforts of our founders Zayed and Rashid and their brothers who sacrificed everything for the sake of our nation. We are continuing our march under the leadership of my brother His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to become one of the leading nations of the world."
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid added, "On this occasion, we would like to renew our commitment to the people of the UAE that we will do our utmost to serve our nation so that our flag will fly high in every field."
In conjunction with the UAE Flag Day, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid endorsed the recently recorded music of the National Anthem of the United Arab of Emirates that will be disseminated to all federal and local entities for official use. The newly recorded music of the National Anthem reflects the national identity of the Emirati community. The National Anthem celebrates the national identity, loyalty and the history of the UAE.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said, "The National Anthem of the UAE is not only about music, it is a symbol of our national identity and the unity of the nation. It is an expression of our close bonds and love for our country and dedication to serve our nation. We call upon the people of the UAE to ensure that the values that the national anthem celebrates are always upheld.
