Cairo - MENA
Cairo Governor Galal Mostafa el-Sayed has witnessed the delivery of 30 new buses to join the public transport network.
Earlier, 200 buses have been delivered to raise the number of buses handed over to 350.
The capital transport authority signed a contract to purchase 1,350 buses to become operative before the end of April.
The latest shipment costs 135 million pounds, the governor said.
As many as 21 minibuses would be delivered on the anniversary celebrations of October 6th War Victory, the governor added.
The minibuses would be used to carry car owners from/to the Tahrir Garage as private cars would be banned to park in downtown Cairo to put an end to traffic congestion.
