The cabinet held on Tuesday its weekly meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa. The meeting discussed several issues, topped by a report of the committee charged with examining the government bodies\' observance of the tender law. The report includes the inspection results and the committee\'s recommendations as well as recognizing the bodies that have not abided by the Tender Law. The Cabinet also discussed a report of a ministerial committee on the problems of vessels violating cargo weights in the Salif seaport and obligations of the shipping and suppliers companies owed to the Red Sea Ports Corporation. It agreed to the committee\'s recommendations, which stressed not to allow any vessel its load exceeds the set maximum weight of 50,000 tons to be anchored in the port. The committee\'s recommendations also stressed that the Transport Ministry has to collect the debts owed to the Ports Corporation Red Sea collection of the shipping, supplier and investment companies\' debts owed to the Red Sea Ports Corporation via amicably or legal actions.
