Dubai Customs has foiled an attempt to smuggle 3.6 kilograms of opium from an Asian country into a European country through Dubai. Airport Operations Director at Dubai Customs, Humaid Mohammed Rasheed, said the drugs were dissolved into solution which was then used to soak the lining of 40 hand bags which were seized at Cargo Village in Dubai. Rasheed said the smuggling bid via Dubai was foiled thanks to the joint efforts Dubai Customs and the General Department of Anti-Narcotics of the Dubai Police.
