The Department of Economic Development (DED) and the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) have signed a Joint Cooperation Agreement for the exchange of knowledge and expertise and institutional experiences at all levels, along with an agreement to connect the electronic systems of the two parties for the purpose of licensing activities of the Aviation Authority. The signing of the agreement comes within the framework of joint efforts between government entities in the emirate of Dubai to improve the performance of joint operations and to facilitate measures which have a positive impact at economic, social and cultural levels. The agreement was signed by Sami Dhaen Al Qamzi, Director General, Dubai Economic Development, and by Mohammed Abdulla Ahli, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, in the presence of a number of senior officials and executives from both departments. Al Qamzi said that the cooperation agreement with the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority is one of the important initiatives that make up the process of the application of best practices to upgrade services provided to the business community. In addition, it is a cooperative effort between governmental bodies and institutions towards realising the vision of the Dubai government\'s strategy to contribute to advancing the economic development of the emirate of Dubai in particular, and the UAE in general. For his part, Ahli stressed the importance of signing this agreement, pointing out that it will contribute to strengthening mutual cooperation, and accelerate the pace of completion of transactions and procedures relating to the aviation sector between the two parties.
