The Dubai government is using an expo at the World Trade Centre to get feedback from the public about the quality of services they offer. Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, inaugurated the exhibition yesterday along with Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group. The exhibition, organised under the Dubai Government Excellence Programme (DGEP), started yesterday and ends today. A total of 25 government entities are presenting their achievements, initiatives, projects and services to delegates and visitors. Under the theme \"Local Government and Global Achievements\", the two-day event is a fitting platform to showcase the diverse achievements of the Dubai government, promote its services and network with customers. Shaikh Hamdan praised the achievements of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) following his visit to its stand. Shaikh Hamdan was accompanied by Saeed Mohammad Al Tayer , Managing Director and CEO of Dewa. Al Tayer gave a presentation on the services and projects of the power and water sectors, and briefed Shaikh Hamdan on the new projects including control centres at Warsan and Al Qusais, as well as Hassyan Project I, the first independent power plant in partnership with the private sector. Abdullah Al Shaibani, Secretary-General of DGEP, said: \"The event aims to reach out to clients and hear their feedback and needs.\" Major contributor He added that the exhibition is seen as a major contributor to meet requirements of the Dubai strategic plan 2015, which seeks to maintain sustainable development. The exhibition also seeks to enhance partnerships among government organisations as well as create new opportunities to improve governmental performance.
