Cairo - MENA
Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Christine Lagarde said Egypt is so important to the IMF, noting that Egypt had contributed in establishing the fund. In a speech to Kuwait's newly-created Central Bank Symposium, Lagarde said 1,100 youths are entering Egypt's workforce every six weeks. That requires more support to help Egypt wrap up its tough interim phase, she said, stressing the importance of Gulf aid packages to Egypt. Lagarde also said Kuwait plays a great role in bringing about economic stability in the Middle East.
