Cairo - MENA
Egypt signed contracts to import 295,000 tonnes of wheat from France, US, Ukraine, and Russia, minister of supply and internal trade said Friday. Mohamed Abu Shadi said the imported shipment would be used in producing subsidized bread. Abu Shadi noted that the process would begin in mid February, and will last for 13 days. The minister asserted that Egypt's wheat supply is sufficient for the country's needs until the end of April.
