Egypt’s main government wheat buyer said on Saturday it had bought 240,000 tonnes of Russian, Ukrainian or Kazakh wheat for Feb.11-20 shipment on a free on board basis. Nomani Nomani, VC of the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) gave breakdown of the purchases as 60,000 tonnes of Russian, Ukrainian or Kazakh wheat from Nidera, seller’s option, at $247.69 a tonne with freight costs of $15.73 a tonne if shipped from Ukraine and $15.12 a tonne if shipped from Russia, 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat from Aston at $249 a tonne with freight costs of $14.97 a tonne and two cargoes each 60,000 tonnes from Louis Dreyfus.
