The 14th session of the undersecretaries of oil ministries of Gulf Cooperation Council member states kicked off in Kuwait Wednesday to discuss a wide array of issues on petroleum cooperation.
The conferees will tackle key issues such as a proposal for unifying prices of petroleum products in GCC countries, measures to achieve oil prices stability, clean energy, development and petroleum-focused media, Acting Undersecretary of the Kuwait Oil Ministry Ali Bin Sabt said on the sidelines of the 14th of the GCC oil ministries undersecretaries.
He added that the participants will also review a regional oil sector emergency plan as well as developments in UN climate change negotiations.
For his part, the GCC Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs Abdullah Al-Shibli said that the conferees will review a proposed executive statute of GCC unified mineral resources act.
The meeting also touches upon a proposal on reactivating cooperation among national petroleum companies. It will also review reports of GCC energy team in the World Trade Organization, he said.
