Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour chaired the Economic Development Committee meeting on Thursday to discuss the performance report of the Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF), and its strategic plan for the coming years.
The meeting also dealt with the strategic plans and aspects of investment as well as implementation mechanisms which are necessary to achieve the objectives of the SSIF.
Ensour stressed on the importance of the independence of investment decisions of the SSIF, to achieve its goals within a general perspective, thus contributing to economic development at all levels in order to preserve the fund's subscribers' money.
