KRCS in Gaza Strip

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRSC) on Saturday handed over to officials of the Gaza Health Ministry medical aid to be later distributed over hospitals in the Strip that have been suffering from shortage of supplies following the brutal Israeli aggression.
Today up to 20 tons of medical supplies were delivered to Gaza through the Rafah crossing with Egypt, raising the total Kuwaiti aid to the Strip to 40 tons, head of the KRCS relief mission in Gaza Khalid Al-Zeid told KUNA.
He also pointed to cooperation with other humanitarian organizations in Gaza, that are distributing foodstuffs, medications and blankets, besides fuel.
This support aims at countering the aggravating human crisis in Gaza in the aftermath of the Israeli aggression that caused enormous damage to houses, hospitals, wells and schools.
Al-Zeid stressed that supporting the Palestinians in Gaza is a top priority for the KRCS, through providing urgent relief aid. He urged more support from Kuwaiti individuals, traders and institutions. The KRCS is closely following the needs of Gazans, in collaboration with other humanitarian organizations there.
The initiative adopted by the KRCS to provide support to Gaza is complementary to efforts by Kuwaiti beneficiaries and donors who responded to a human call to present aid to the Strip, he said.
These efforts come at the behest of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to offer relief aid to Palestinian in Gaza, he stressed.
