The World Bank will finance new projects in Egypt at a value of 275 million dollars. These projects are to be in the health-care and social justice domains. Within this framework, the Bank has held several meetings with Egyptian officials with a view to transferring its experience in different countries to Egypt in the field of health insurance. This move is meant to make the health insurance system cover all poor citizens in Egypt through activating a program for social protection. The Bank and Egypt have reached an agreement on implementing three projects in the country at a total cost of 275 million dollars in the domains of health-care, education and social justice.
