Kerry said that the specific date for the Geneva 2 Conference is still undetermined. He continued, \"During the Geneva 1 conference, a transitional government has been agreed to be formed and would be implemented in the Geneva 2 conference.\" Regarding Iran\'s role in the conference, he said \"it is hard to see how Iran could play a constructive role in planned talks in Geneva without supporting plans for a transitional government in Syria.\" He added that Iran had already not supported the implementation of a first round of talks in Geneva.
